first: i see that the shots i upload that really (and i mean "really") contain more than "just another photograph" are dismissed and not considered "worth" a fave are piling up.
(I encourage you, and i mean YOU, to write me a subjectively comment to tell me why you are not interested in it! after all, you are watching me! why!?)
well all this is piling up and i am not sure if dA is worth the buzz it was all about...
when i started here this was not a second myspace nor a second facebook, so i was used to get some decent comments (no, "i do like this band" is not considered as decent), feedback or whatever you want to call it; as well as i saw artists showing off their work, not some fuckdolls in little to no clothing showing off their private parts as "art", nor people who are used to share their recent MSPaint doodles.
its easy to rant about all this but i mean it.
why should i work with dA when everything that most people care about are big names and/or tits!?

But, yes, take a break, try other more pro communities for photography.
Artistic value and "success" are completely different. Plus don't forget you're in a specific niche which makes it all the more difficult to get comments. As you've noticed, selfs taken pics of boobs will get tons of comments on how great and artistic they are while you will hardly get one comment. That's the way it is but at least the comments you will get will be more interesting...
You've been lucky enough to have been part of some great concerts, you enjoy yourself taking pics and at the end of the day when your computer is off that's what really matters.

ach ja...und noch eine kleine anmerkung...fotos zu schiessen ist nicht wirklich schwer...es ist das schwierige den bildern eine seele zu geben und das mein freund...tust du!! danke für deine fotokunst!
ich hatte dich shcon fast an einem besseren ort geglaubt
ja ich werd mich jetzt wieder mehr durchringen aktiv meine bilder hier zu veröffentlichen und hoffe irgendwann die richtigen kontakte zu finden. ich will ja eigentlich keine faves haben sondern konstruktive kritik damit ich mich auch beständig weiterentwickeln kann!

ich als foto-laie kann dir eh nur einen tip geben: mach weiter so wie bisher und scheu dich nicht davor, experimente einzugehen! alles andere ist nur eine frage der zeit compadre
Being popular on DA has nothing to do with talent, you need to be here a lot and upload a lot to get noticed. You have to work at making people take notice of you,be loud, make lots of comments on stuff. Just joining groups isn't enough to get noticed, you may just get buried under everyone else.
You have to decide if it's worth being here, if it's worth talking to people and making contacts. It's kind of like a game,once you're in the game it gets easier to get seen.
